    Mustard Shallot Dressing

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This is a super easy Mustard Shallot Dressing to make and I normally have the ingredients around the house. Shallots are mild but flavorful, making this a really versatile dressing.

mustard, vinegar, oil, honey, lemon, shallots,, salt.
salad with greens, radish, onion and pistachios in a bowl and a jar of dressing behind

What you need to make Mustard Shallot Dressing:

    Equipment:
    • Immersion Blender
    Time:
    • 5 Minutes
    Produce:
    • 2-3 Shallots minced
    • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
    Pantry:
    • ½ C Apple Cider Vinegar
    • 4 tablespoon Dijon musters
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 6 tablespoon olive oil

This is a super easy dressing to make and I normally have the ingredients around the house. Shallots are mild but flavorful, making this a really versatile dressing.

I often use store-bought dressing just because it’s so easy and there are so many great ones out there. But dressings are also a super fun way to play with flavors and create interesting combinations in otherwise boring salads.

All you have to do for this dressing is throw all of the ingredients into a tall cup or jar and use an immersion blender to fully combine and emulsify.

I’ve also just chopped the shallots really fine and mixed the ingredients. It gives it a slightly different texture but is perfectly delicious.

What to serve Mustard Shallot Dressing with?

butter lettuce, radish, pickled onion, goat cheese, and chopped pistachios

spinach, apple, dried cranberries, pecans, and goat cheese

arugula, cherry tomatoes, and blue cheese
